Devotional Verse for the Coming Week

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”

-Jeremiah 17:7-8

With a population of 1.2 billion people, any news of renewable energy success in India is a cause for celebration. One would undoubtedly expect to see decreasing carbon emissions due to widespread travel reductions due to COVID-19 prevention measures, but a further analysis shows us that coronavirus doesn’t get to take all the credit, and the unholy trinity of oil, coal and gas seems to be on the downward slide.

In a report from carbonbrief.org, daily statistics on energy consumption and power plant activities demonstrate that India’s total year–over–year emissions has, for the first time in 4 decades, fallen.

Alive: How the Resurrection of Christ Changes Everything

by Gabe Fluhrer

Did Jesus Christ really rise from the grave? The credibility of the Christian faith rests on this claim, and Jesus’ own disciples laid down their lives to defend it. However, the resurrection of Christ is often dismissed as fantasy by those who assume that miracles are a scientific impossibility. Is faith in the empty tomb nothing more than blind belief?

To deny Christ’s resurrection is an indefensible position, but by God’s grace, to embrace the reality of the risen Lord is to have our lives changed forever.

-Let us remind ourselves daily that we are not in control. HE who is in control has made all provision & is our Great Protector.  Remember that we are (by HIS Grace) lights that guide others to the way of truth & life… to HIM who has the universe in the Palm of HIS Hands.
